Weston under Penyard Parish Council

As the first tier of local government, the Parish Council is uniquely placed to make a major contribution to localism.  The job of the parish council is to represent the interests of the whole community.

Annual Parish Meeting Thursday 20th May

There will be an exhibition of parish council activities from 4pm followed by the meeting at 6pm. The agenda is in papers for parish council meetings.

New playground opening and Celebration fete – 26th June 2021.

The new playground is now fully open and being well-used by children and young people from within the village and beyond.

Her Majesty The Queen’s personal representative in the county, Mr Edward Harley OBE, the Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire, who represents Her Majesty at events in Herefordshire, will be formally opening the play area at a special Village Fete on 26th June 2021. 

A planning team is working on the event already and if you would like to be involved in any way, please contact wupfete2021@gmail.com.  The more people involved the better.  We have a hog roast, bar, afternoon teas, lots of stalls and events and more.  There is a now a  Facebook page set up which the planning team will keep updated with news of what is coming.  Please Follow and Share the page if you are a Facebook user.

Future Parish Council Meetings

Meetings are scheduled for 3rd June, 1st July, 2nd September, 7th October, 4th November and 2nd December 2021 and for 13th January, 3rd February, 3rd March 2022.

The Annual Parish Meeting will be on 20th May at the Village Hall with an exhibition from 4.00-6.00 pm and then a brief meeting from 6.00 – 6.30 pm.  More details to come.

Notice of meetings will be posted on notice boards and the agenda and all papers will be posted on this website.  Draft minutes will be posted as soon as they are ready.

Weston under Penyard Parish Council will next meet on 3rd June 2021 at 7.00 pm at the Village Hall.  Suitable social distancing will be in place.
