Weston under Penyard Parish Council
NEW TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ALONG A40
The Parish Council is grateful that ten parishioners attended the 3rd October meeting at which the draft proposals from Balfour Beatty were discussed, and the Balfour Beatty representative answered questions from both councillors and parishioners. On a show of hands most parishioners were in favour of the proposals, although reservations were expressed, mostly about the safety of pedestrians crossing the road.
As a result, It was RESOLVED to agree in principal with the A40 proposals so far, subject to budget figures and pedestrian safety concerns being addressed.
Notes sent by Balfour Beatty outlining the points raised at the meeting are available for you to read in the Associated Documents section of this website, and naturally further comments from parishioners are welcomed.
As the first tier of local government, the parish council is uniquely placed to make a major contribution to localism. The job of the parish council is to represent the interests of the whole community.
